Creating Shows
The show creation wizard walks you through setting up a new show in a few steps. The wizard adapts based on the show type you choose — live, RTMP, or upload.
Starting the wizard
Navigate to your channel and select the option to create a new show. You will choose your show type first:
- Live — Interactive video call with camera/mic sharing
- RTMP — Professional stream from external software (OBS, Streamlabs, vMix)
- Upload — Pre-recorded video content
Duplicate from last show
If you have created a show before, the wizard offers a Duplicate last show option that pre-fills settings from your most recent show. This saves time when running recurring events.
Step 1: Basics
Enter the core information for your show:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Show name | Yes | The title fans will see. Keep it clear and engaging. |
| Description | Yes | A brief summary of what the show is about. |
| Scheduled date and time | Yes | When the show is scheduled to start. Cannot be set in the past. |
| Access rules | No | Restrict access based on memberships, communities, or custom authorization rules. |
For upload shows, you also upload your video files in this step:
- Landscape version (16:9) — For desktop viewers
- Portrait/mobile version — For mobile viewers
The upload progress is displayed in real time. Do not close the browser while uploads are in progress.

Step 2: Agenda (live shows only)
Build your show's agenda by adding topics. Each topic represents a segment of your show.
- Click the + button to add a topic
- Give each topic a title
- Optionally attach a video file to a topic
- Drag topics to reorder them
- You can add more topics at any time
The agenda helps you stay on track during a live broadcast. During the show, you advance through topics from the producer controls and fans see the current topic displayed.
INFO
The agenda step only appears for live shows. RTMP and upload shows skip directly to the audience step.

Step 3: Audience
Configure who can see your show and where it appears:
Communities
Select which communities within your channel will see the show. At least one community must be selected. By default, all communities you belong to are pre-selected.
Language
Choose the primary language of the show. This helps fans find content in their preferred language.
Target locations
Choose between:
- Global — Available to fans everywhere
- Specific countries — Restrict visibility to selected countries
Email notifications
If channel email notifications are enabled, you can toggle whether an email notification is sent to fans in the selected communities when the show is scheduled. This option is disabled if a notification has already been sent.

Step 4: Simulcast (RTMP shows, Admin only)
Set up simulcasting to stream your show to multiple platforms simultaneously. For each destination:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for this destination (e.g., "YouTube Main Channel") |
| RTMP URL | The RTMP ingest URL from the target platform |
| Stream key | The stream key provided by the target platform |
| Orientation | Landscape or portrait video format |
You can add, edit, and remove destinations. Simulcasting is available for RTMP shows only and requires the Admin role.

Step 5: Styling
Customize the visual appearance of your show:
Show theme
Choose from three theme options:
- Channel theme — Uses your channel's default theme colors
- Community theme — Uses the theme from a specific community
- Custom theme — Create a custom color scheme for this show
Click Preview and Edit to open the theme editor and see how your show will look.
Thumbnail
Upload a thumbnail image for your show. This image appears in the channel's show listings and helps fans identify your content. If no thumbnail is uploaded, your channel logo is used as a fallback.

Step 6: Recap
Review all your show settings before publishing. The recap shows a summary of everything you configured. From here you can go back to any previous step to make changes, or publish the show.
After creation
Once your show is published:
- It appears in your channel's show listings
- Fans in selected communities can see it
- If email notifications were enabled, fans are notified
- For live shows, you will enter the pre-show stage when it is time to go live
- For RTMP shows, you will receive streaming credentials to configure in your broadcasting software
- For upload shows, the content is immediately available once processing completes
